Can you make my catheter?
Short Answer: Probably.
Long Answer: There are limits to what is currently possible using the biocompatible materials available for use. Despite several requests, we have not yet figured out how to make a catheter with a 0.000" wall thickness. Outside of these physical limitations, we are very willing to work with you to build your proposed design or fine tune it slightly into what is both feasible and within your budget. Many of our current customers found us because no other company was willing to build their proposed design and we take pride in building these complex devices.
What is your specialty?
BayCath specializes in complex, difficult to build catheters and fast-paced, iterative development for catheter-based devices.
Can you build non-Catheter Medical Devices?
Yes. We have cleanroom assembly and packaging services available for all medical devices.
Do you have volume limitations?
BayCath builds all of your devices for DV&V, Clinicals, and Regulatory Approvals. Once your quantity projections start to exceed 500 units per month, we should start to plan for the future. This may involve bringing in a high volume partner to help us build your components. We continue to be a manufacturing option moving forward. As long as we have ~6 months of advanced warning, we will ensure your production volume needs are met.
What is a medical catheter?
Catheters are a category of medical devices with a flexible tube used to access the internal human body through the patient’s blood vessels. This allows for a diverse range of treatments and medical device deployments. Urinary catheters are the most well-known culturally. However, catheters are also used to access Neurovascular (Brain) and Cardiovascular (Heart, Blood) systems. More novel catheter applications include targeted drug delivery and various sensor applications.
What are your Company Priorities?
We prioritize our employees so that our employees can prioritize our customers.
BayCath Medical is 100% employee owned. This allows us to prioritize our employees and then our customers, without considering investor priorities or quarterly financial goals.
What is your Exit Strategy?
BayCath Medical was started to provide fast-paced, iterative development for catheter startups. This initial focus continues to be critical within our everyday operations.
If there was a future acquisition or other funding event, one of the primary consideration factors would be our future ability to serve this target market and continue to meet our customer needs. We have some creative ideas on how to ensure this need continues to be met.
